MIRRA TODD trained at VCA and is an award-winning playwright, director and actor. His playwright credits include Chemical Handcuffs, Being Alive, Shushed, Fragments, The Duplicates, Gangland, The Line-Up, Hard Swallow, Strong as Blood, Personal Stranger, and Paper Truths. His credits as director include Chemical Handcuffs, Being Alive, Box, Brigitte, Bracken, The Duplicates, and Heart of Darkness. Todd has also had an extensive career as an actor including for Chapel Off Chapel and for the 47th International Festival of monodrama in Wroclaw. His other theatre credits include The Line-Up, Personal Strangers, Midsummer Night’s Dream, Twelfth Night, and Romeo and Juliet. Todd has served as artistic director and CEO of Milk Crate Theatre and the artistic director of Company Elixir. He was shortlisted for the Patrick White Award S.T.C. his play The Outsiding, Strong as Blood was winner of best play by a young playwright and shortlisted for the Griffin Theatre Award, Catching Breath was short-listed for the James Joyce Award, and as an actor he won the Directors Choice award, Critics Choice award and People’s Choice award all for Harry’s Christmas, (Festival Wroclaw).
