Andrew Bovell's  latest multiple award-winning play When The Rain Stops Falling continues to enjoy national and international success.  After playing to rave reviews in London in 2009 the play will open off-Brodway in 2010 at the Lincoln Center Theater.

When The Rain Stops Falling will also be playing around Australia in 2010, including seasons at Queensland Theatre Company and  Melbourne Theatre Company in October/November. 




Holding the Man

Tommy Murphy's adaptation of Timothy Conigrave's celebrated memoir will be playing in London at the Trafalgar Studios from 23rd April.

Ninety
Joanna Murray Smith's love story, Ninety, is now playing at the Ensemble Theatre in Kirribilli until 3rd April.

The Swimming Club 


The new play from Hannie Rayson now published by Currency Press,  features in the Melbourne Theatre Company 2010 Season; the season has now been extended until 18th March.    The production transfers to Black Swan Theatre Company in Perth from 27th March.

Love Me Tender
The latest play from Tom Holloway, touted as one of the rising stars of Australian Theatre, is playing in Perth at Thin Ice from 20 February-6 March and then opens at Belvoir St Theatre,  Sydney in a joint production with Griffin Theatre from 18th March. 

Toy Symphony
  by Michael Gow is playing around the country throughout the year, including seasons at Adelaide Festival, Merrigong Theatre, Parramatta Riverside Theatre and Tasmanian Theatre Company.    Purchase the script here.


The Walworth Farce

The Merringong Theatre will be playing host to the great Irish Theatre Company, Druid Theatre, who will staging Enda Walsh's The Walworth Farce from 10-13 March. Also will be playing at The Sydney Theatre Company from 12 April.

Stories from the 428

A number of Currency Press authors, including several of those included in the Short Circuit collection, have collaborated on a surprising and unique theatrical experience centred around the inner-western Sydney 428 bus route.   Stories from the 428 will be presented at the Sidetrack Theatre in Marrickville (with a handy 428 bus stop right outside) from 24th March.

Tony McNamara's new play, The Grenade, opens at Melbourne Theatre company from 10th April.

Juan Mayorga's Way to Heaven will be playing at the Griffin Independent season from 14 April-10 May.

David Williamsons' Let The Sunshine plays at Queensland Theatre Company from 12th April.

Joanna Murray-Smith's Honour plays at Sydney Theatre Company from 17th April.

Matt Cameron's Ruby Moon plays at Melbourne Theatre Company from 19th April.
