LUCY
KIRKWOOD’s
first play Tinderbox
premiered at the Bush Theatre,
London,
in 2008.
Her other plays include Hedda, a reworking of Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler, and 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover. She won the 2010 John Whiting Award
for It Felt Empty When the Heart Went At
First But It Is Alright Now. She is currently writer in residence for Clean
Break.
KATIE MITCHELL
is a theatre director and an associate of the National Theatre. Her
productions for the NT include The Cat in
the Hat, Women of Troy, Attempts On Her Life, Waves and The Seagull. She has also worked for Paines Plough, The Royal
Court, The Royal Shakespeare Company and The Royal Opera House. She was awarded
an OBE in 2009
