Biography
Rodney Hall's numerous novels, poetry collections, biographies and radio and television scripts have earned him a world-wide readership along with international critical acclaim. Three times nominated for the prestigious Booker Prize, he was awarded the Miles Franklin Award for Just Relations in 1982 and The Grisly Wife in 1984, and both the 1988 Canada-Australia Award and the 1989 National Book Council Award for Captivity Captive. In 1992 he was presented with the Australian Literary Society's Gold Medal. A Return to the Brink is his first work for the stage.
