This is the first collected publication of twenty solo recital songs composed by Henry Handel Richardson. This haunting selection from the late 1890s to 1943 features songs for voice and piano in English, such as ‘Peacock Pie’, ‘Mandalay’, ‘Regret Not Me’ and ‘Come Away Death’, as well as songs in German and Danish. The publication is long overdue and will delight performers and audiences alike. This publication is part of the Monash University Henry Handel Richardson Project which is funded by the Australian Research Council and Dame Elisabeth Murdoch.
