KIRSTY MARILLIER is an award-winning playwright and actor. Her plays have been published with Currency Press and are available as e-books through Apple Books. Her debut play, Orange Thrower, premiered at Griffin Theatre Company and National Theatre of Parramatta. Orange Thrower was the winner of the Rodney Seaborn Playwrights Award, the Nick Enright Prize and was highly commended at the Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards.

Kirsty’s second play, The Zap, won the Max Afford Playwrights Award, was nominated for the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting and was shortlisted for the Shayne and Cathryn Brennan Prize. Her latest play, Destiny, premiered at Melbourne Theatre Company and was published with Currency Press.

In addition to being an award-winning writer, Kirsty is an accomplished performer having starred in the Australian Premiere of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child; The Cherry Orchard at Belvoir St Theatre; Home, I’m Darling; Picnic at Hanging Rock with Sydney Theatre Company and Coma Land with Black Swan State Theatre Company. Kirsty attended WAAPA and has a BA in Creative Writing / Performance Studies and is currently developing an original television idea with Thomas Wilson-White and Matchbox Pictures.
