TRACEY RIGNEY has always had a love of storytelling from her Grandfather. A Wotjobaluk and Ngarrindjeri woman, she draws inspiration from her people and culture. Her career began in playwriting with her debut play Belonging. From theatre, she transitioned to film and TV. Her works include documentary and short films, Endangered, Abalone, Man Real and Elders, and the feature film We are still here. She directed the web series A Chance Affair and has written for TV on The Warriors. Tracey is passionate about empowering local communities to access, celebrate and engage with Australia's screen industry. One of her career highlights is working with co-collaborator Desiree Cross and Koorie students from Dimboola Primary School on Teacher’s Pet. 2022 saw Tracey write a play for Windmill Theatre, Rella as well as her immersive play Someone In the Dark. Tracey completed an industry placement with the film Thor: Ragnarok in 2016. She is currently the artist in residence at Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) as well as a recent participant in the Screen Enterprise Business Program of Screen Australia with the company she co-founded, Pink Lake Creative. Tracey is also embarking upon the Ngarrindjeri story of Kumarangk (Hindmarsh Island Bridge).

BRODIE MURRAY is an important First Nations voice, amplifying stories of South Eastern Australian Aboriginal survival. Drawing from his Wamba Wamba, Ngarindjerri and Scottish heritage, Australian audiences have been responding to Brodie’s visual and emotive playwriting style since his debut as a writer/performer at the Yirramboi Festival 2021 with First Contact play, Soul of Possum. He was recognised with two awards at the Melbourne Fringe Festival in 2021 for his coming of age play, Billy’s Choice (the Best Emerging Indigenous Artist and Young Creatives Awards). In 2022, Brodie wrote The Whisper, inspired by his Nan’s story of survival in the 1940s (Melbourne Fringe 2022 and Fortyfivedownstairs 2024). He has achieved early career recognition receiving the Creative Australia First Nations Emerging Career Development Award (2022), the Victorian Young Achievers Award for the Arts (2023), the Hannah Barry Memorial Award (2023) and was named Mr VIC NAIDOC (2023). In the same year, he was Finalist in the National NAIDOC Youth of the Year Award. In 2024, Brodie co-authored Was and Will Be, with Aboriginal writers Tracey Rigney and Tom Moyneux, published by Currency Press. Brodie is a member of the Deadly Creatives program at the Melbourne Theatre Company. As part of this program, his fourth play, Wiran’s Dream is programmed as a double bill (Yirramboi Festival/ MTC 2025). Brodie is a graduate of Aboriginal Performance at Waapa, and a current student at VCA, Bachelor of Fine Arts (Theatre).

TOM MOLYNEUX is a Gunditjmara theatre actor, director and playwright based on Wadawurrung Country in Geelong, Australia. He received the 2023 Green Room Award for Best Performer (Independent Theatre) for his performance in The Mission, the remarkable story of his ancestor Uncle Allan McDonald, which toured extensively across Australia. He co-authored Was and Will Be, a First Nations anthology with Tracey Rigney and Brodie Murray, published by Currency Press. He is also a founding member of multi-award-winning theatre ensemble Bloomshed, with acclaimed credits as a deviser/performer including The Nose, Earnest and A Dodgeball Named Desire.
