MANUEL ASTON has a background in film and television production and extensive experience as an educational theatre writer. He was writer-in-residence for Self Raising Theatre and Theatre South, and has had a number of plays commissioned by Canberra’s Jigsaw Theatre Company. He is best known for his award-winning play for teenagers, Fossils, which has enjoyed popular seasons with professional theatres in Australia and overseas. Aston has been a regular contributor for a number of magazines writing monthly articles on scriptwriting and creativity and has written a book: Study Right. In early 2008, Aston started his blog, The Study Doctor which he hopes will build into valuable and entertaining resource for teachers and students.
