
TIM STITZ is a creative producer, performer and maker. He began working with Chamber Made Opera in February 2012 as Executive Producer and was appointed Creative Director & CEO as part of an organisational re-structure in June 2013. From 2008-2011 Stitz managed the TheatreSpace project, a four-year Australian Research Council project of Griffith, Sydney & Melbourne Universities investigating the young audiences of Australia’s major state theatre companies and cultural venues. He has worked in various capacities in the arts including positions at the Melbourne School of Creative Arts, Arts Centre Melbourne, Pioneer Productions (TV-UK), Auspicious Arts Projects and with John Paxinos & Associates. Stitz was a member of La Mama Theatre’s Committee of Management from 2006-2012 and a judge & panel chair for the Green Room Awards Association between 2007-2012. Stitz’s solo theatre work Lloyd Beckmann, Beekeeper began at Melbourne’s La Mama and toured to the Canberra Theatre Centre, Tamarama Rock Surfers (Sydney) & Brisbane Powerhouse. He has performed and devised multiple performance projects nationally and internationally, and has won and been nominated for multiple Green Room Awards. Between 2007-2013 he was part of the Melbourne Playback ensemble. Stitz studied at the University of Melbourne and trained at Circle in the Square Theatre School, New York.
