Laura Liu is a Christian Chinese-Australian emerging performance maker, playwright, and director. Graduating with a Bachelor of Performing Arts (Performance Making) from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in 2019, she went back to WAAPA in 2022 to complete her Honours degree, focusing on playwriting and the possibilities of formatting and (omitting) translation in a multi-lingual play text. She is currently a participant of Black Swan State Theatre Company’s FORGE: Emerging Writers’ Program 2023-24. Laura is a big fan of egg tarts, corn, and other fun snacks.
